Wedding hairstyles with flowers
Flowers were woven into the bride’s hair in ancient times, and today wedding hairstyles with flowers are very popular, not only natural, but also artificial flowers are relevant. The advantage of the latter is that they do not fade, retain a presentable appearance for a long time, and they look very believable.
How to choose flowers for a hairstyle?
The first rule that brides should adhere to is a combination of composition in the hairstyle with a bridal bouquet and a wedding dress. Please note that the flowers should be freshly cut, and when choosing the right variety, you should consult with a florist and stylist who will work with your hair.
The most common flowers in the hairstyle are:
Roses. Using the “flower queen” to create a hairstyle is already a classic. A rose is a symbol of love, a beautiful legend is associated with the origin of these flowers: when the goddess of love Aphrodite came out of the sea foam, drops fell from her body and hair and turned into amazingly beautiful flowers – roses. By the way, roses do not have to be white – these varieties are best suited to owners of dark hair, brown-haired women will have cream and pale pink buds, and blondes will be scarlet and pink;
Freesia. It can be inserted both in small buds and branches, forming a small wreath on the head – this flower will give the hairstyle sophistication, it is a symbol of youth, sincerity and tenderness. Freesia can be yellow, lilac and white, your stylist can choose the right shade;
Alstroemeria is a beautiful and festive flower, there are several shades of this plant, so choosing the right one will not be difficult. In the center, the petals of alstroemeria are covered with colored veins, and the outer framing petals are white: by the way, they look very beautiful on blonde brides or owners of highlighted hair;
Orchids Very delicate and majestic flower, looks great with any hairstyle and harmoniously complement any look. The orchid will emphasize the tenderness and femininity of the bride and will be appropriate at the celebration at any time of the year;
Lily. If you liked this flower, pay attention to the varieties without smell. It is worth knowing that this plant has a rather heavy aroma, so by the end of the wedding evening it is quite possible to get an unpleasant companion – a headache. Lilies are different: purple, white, orange, yellow, tiger – the choice is only yours.
This is not the whole list of flowers that can be used: delicate lilies of the valley, magnificent peonies and dahlias, barely noticeable gypsophila, light daisies, ceremonial anthurium, gerberas, daffodils look very beautiful in hair. The main requirement for them is a long unfading, specialists in the salon additionally treat them and impregnate them with a special composition, which, in fact, freezes the plant. You can prepare the flowers yourself – before you insert them into the hair, you need to immerse the stems in a solution of water with aspirin or a special composition for flowers. While the master conjures over your hair, the flower is saturated with this composition. After this, the buds are taken out of the water, a cotton wool with a solution is attached to their stem and fixed with teyplent – so they will retain their freshness longer. The flowers are fixed along the entire length with the help of silicone rubber bands. Near the roots, before inserting a flower, make a small pile. The attachment points are covered with hair or light plants – for example, a gypsophila. You can sprinkle flowers with liquid varnish.
Artificial flowers, fabric buds and even dried flowers will look interesting in the hairstyle. Do not overdo the decor: if large elements are found in the hairstyle, then let the flower be one, but large. In intricate weaving or braids, it is worth adding a few small buds – with large flowers, such a hairstyle will turn into a flower bed.
What to consider when choosing a shade of colors?
Long gone are the days when a bride got married in an exceptionally white outfit. Now you can find wedding dresses of various shades and with contrasting inserts of bright color, so that flowers for hairstyles and bouquets can be selected different. But there are several subtleties that you need to consider when drawing up your image. First of all, the color scheme – floristic composition should repeat the shade of the dress or the shade on it. For example, if the insert of the fabric has a peach color, then the lilac buds in the hairstyle will simply be inappropriate.
Universal shades are red, cream and white. Bright colors will add extravagance and coquetry to your image, while gentle ones will emphasize femininity and mystery – here everything depends on the bride’s internal state.
Be sure to consider the size of the flower buds: if the bride is miniature and does not differ in tall growth, a too voluminous flower will visually reduce it, the same applies to brides with curvaceous shapes. Lush and catchy buds will suit tall girls. Take into account the density of hair – if they are too lush, the buds should be small so that they do not increase
